Established in 1998 with the publication of The Legend of the Margil Vine and The Legend of Rosa's Window Assaca Press has now evolved into a multimedia company.  From photographing social events to scenic splendors , Assaca Press provides a unique glimpse of our world.

Mark Tezel

Owner

Mark Tezel was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas.  After graduating from Texas Lutheran College with a degree in theology, Mark worked for 10 years at the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park as a park ranger.  During this time his appreciation of the natural and cultural treasures of our nation grew.

In 1998, Mark semi-retired to become a stay-at-home dad for his four children.  During this time he began to expand his love of photography beyond that of a hobby.  He also had an opportunity two write two children's books, The Legend of the Margil Vine and The Legend of Rosa's Window based on stories he learned while working at the missions. 

Today, Mark and his wife Alicia enjoy spending time with the children, as well as traveling around the country.  They also have had several opportunities to visit Alicia's native land, Peru, as well as Europe.  The beauty found throughout Mark's travels are evident in his photography.
